Tannat
A structured grape associated with Madiran and Saint-Mont reds.
Tannat brings colour and tannins to Pyrenean foothill reds. It can be blended; winemaking and bottle age alter its texture. Not all Tannat wines require long ageing.
What to notice
Compare a young Madiran and one ready to drink, checking each blend.
